The leading producer of laminating paper products, Kotkamills, announced today that it will start a 13 million euros, two-phase investment program to strengthen its position as the leading global supplier of overlaying films for the plywood industry.
In the first phase, the company will invest in a new impregnation production line in its subsidiary, Pacific Films L.P., in Malaysia. The new line will start up by the end of the year 2015.
According to the plan, in the second phase of the investment program in 2016, the company will increase the production capacity. The new line will also enable the expansion of the Imprex product range.
Altogether, there are approximately 90 people working for the Imprex business in Finaland and Malaysia. The Imprex products are produced by converting the Absorbex paper, which is produced by Kotkamills in Finland. The customers of the Imprex products are within the plywood and laminate industries.

The production lines of the company are located in Kotka and Imatra, in finaland, and in Pasir Gudang in Malaysia.
