Mohsen Moazami

Mr. Moazami is a Technology industry Senior Advisor to OpenGate Capital.
Mr. Moazami’s career spans 30+ years in the technology industry; predominantly in operating roles and the last nine years as a professional venture capitalist & advisor in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Moazami is currently the Chairman of Astrea Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: ASAX) and Vcinity a private firm focused on high performance computing.
Mr Moazami was the founder/CEO of Stanford Business Systems (SBS) for more than seven years before being acquired by KSA/Accenture where he ran the global e-business practice until recruited to Cisco in late 90’s. In the first eight of 12 years at Cisco, Mr. Moazami was in the leadership of Cisco’s strategic consulting group, the Internet Business Solutions Group, where he engaged at the CxO level of top global corporations and government entities assisting them in their journey to become connected and agile enterprises. At various times he had global responsibility for Retail, Consumer Products, Transportation/Logistics and Public Sector verticals.
During the last 4 years of his Cisco career, Mr. Moazami moved to London to join the leadership team of Emerging Markets looking after 132 countries, 23 times-zones and a $6 billion P&L which during his tenure was the fastest growing part of Cisco.
In 2012, Mr. Moazami left Cisco to become an entrepreneur, focusing on venture capital. Mr. Moazami was the co-founder of CNTP, a $300 mil VC fund in Silicon Valley. His investments spanned security, cyber security, big data analytics, gig economy and SaaS applications; firms included Fiverr, Bina Technologies (acquired by Roche), DoorDash (IPO), Guardant Health (IPO), Bracket Computing (acquired by vMware), Frame (acquired by Nutanix) and many others.
Mr. Moazami served on the Board of a telecommunications company, Global Capacity. At Global Capacity he helped oversee a complete turnaround of the business, a $150 mil+ acquisition of segments of Megapath and the ultimate exit of the company to GTT in 2017.
Education:
Mr. Moazami is a graduate of Stanford University – Engineering School where he earned a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
