Samir Mohin, CPA

Experience:

Mr. Mohin is OpenGate Capital's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer and is based in OpenGate Capital's New York office.  He leads the financial and operational activities of the firm, the funds under OpenGate's management, and the financial supervision of OpenGate's global portfolio companies. Mr. Mohin is an experienced financial services professional with over two decades of private equity experience.

Prior to joining OpenGate, Mr. Mohin was Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at BharCap Partners, where he led the financial and operational responsibilities of the firm. Previously, he served as a Chief Financial Officer at Altpoint Capital Partners for its private equity, venture capital, incubator and digital asset hedge investment fund strategies.

Mr. Mohin began his private equity career at Veronis Suhler Stevenson, where his responsibilities included both private equity and debt funds. He was Partner and Head of Debt Fund practice for Gen II Fund Services, where he provided outsourced Chief Financial Officer and administrative services to emerging and established private equity fund managers.

Education:

Mr. Mohin earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
